Blepharoplasty surgery involves removing redundant skin/muscle and fat from the eyelids.  Blepharoplasty surgery can be performed for cosmetic reasons or to improve vision. Blapharoplasty surgery in men or “Male Blepharoplasty” is becoming more and more common.  The surgery is the same as that performed in women, but more conservative in nature.  The reason for this is that in male blepharoplasty surgery the goal is to reduce eyelid bags, but not too aggressively which tends to feminize appearance.

Not all plastic surgeons have experience with male blepharoplasty surgery.  It is important to seek out an eyelid specialist only, and who has who has performed a significant number of male blepharoplasty surgeries.
